Let’s Celebrate my Fitness Journey for the KSAT 12 Fit for Life Challenge!

My Husband, Blas Hernandez and I will be having our First Friday Art Show on Friday, August 6th, from 6-9pm at 628 S. Presa, 78210 and also will be Celebrating my Fitness journey for this KSAT 12 Fit for Life Fitness Challenge. As I have posted in one of my previous blogs, that if I were to go below my 150lb mark, I would CELEBRATE!!!! I have not been below 150lbs in over 8 years! I weighed myself on Friday and I was 149.3! I was soooooo excited, that I texted my Trainer Meagan and I let her know how excited I was!

Even though this KSAT 12 Fit for Life Challenge with Anytime Fitness, ends on August 9th, I am already a winner in my own journey! I never worked so hard in my life and have never been so dedicated. I am now going to continue with my Fitness journey for as long as I live and plan to be an Inspiration to others all throughout SA, with Inspiration 4 Life Organization.

Depression used to be part of my life, but not anymore.  I am now FREE to LIVE the LIFE I have ALWAYS wanted to LIVE! Just to be HAPPY and HEALTHY! =) Through my Testimonies of this Journey and Faith, Inspiration 4 Life, can show you how to do the same!

    Rita,

    Congrats on getting below 150! That’s great.

    My next goal is to get below 250 pounds. That’s basically another 50 pounds of weight loss. Then, I will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Plus, please explain these exercise classes. How many can participate? Who will be leading them? How long will they last? What will they entail?

      Thanks Adam! Yes, I know it is only 1 lb so far below 150, but I worked so hard to get there. I hear you about still having “the goal weight” and I have not reached it yet either. Sometimes it takes a little longer for some of us. Since 150 is still not my ideal weight, I want to get down to 130-135, so still have about another 20 lbs to go. My main thing now is mainly toning up the weight that was lost. Lord willing, I will still be Competing in Figure Competition next year around April, so I will have to set another goal for then, but not worried about that right now. Lol. I am just wanting to get throught this contest first. Lol

      Well, I can send you an email attatchment about what I do for Inspiration 4 Life, or you can just read about it on my blog. My mission is to help promote healthy lifestyle education and resources for the lower income demographics in SA that struggle with obesity, depression, health issues, low self esteem, unemployment, homelessness and the lack of traditional resources to contribute to a strong and healthy life as an individiual or as a family unit. So, I have partnered with Fit for the King, so we can get this and free services, such as workouts, zumba type faith fitness-dance praise, massages, charity events, fundraisers and much more to the people of SA.

      These classes are open to the public, so anyone can come and join us. I will be joining Fit for the King and help out with workouts for children and do zumba with their group. We still need to come up with some dates for some of these events, but the ones that are already going on are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 7:30pm at Mac Aurthur High School. I want to work with the children for Kids Fitness at the same time Jason and Jacob are leading the workouts for the Adults. A wonderful Team effort. The Zumba, I will probably have them on Saturdays. We are still trying to find a location big enough to sponsor for this. I am hoping for a great turnout!

      All Classes are usually about 45 to an hour long. It is extremely worth it! Again, we are still coming up with more ideas to help out the City of SA and I am blessed to be working with Fit for the King! This was the blessing that came out of this KSAT 12 Fit for Life Challenge with Anytime Fitness!
