Day 5: Family time and Inspired to Walk Program Day!

Hi there everyone!!! How are you all doing? I pray you are all well and blessed. Today was a super wonderful day! My Husband was off from work today, so I was able to spend some quality time with him. I was so excited for breakfast this morning!!!! Fresh, homemade breakfast that is!!!! Egg whites with turkey bacon, whole wheat toast, fresh fruit and some OJ! It was so good!

Today we were going to open up our Studio for some customers to come and visit our Art Studio but we decided to spend our lunch time taking lunch to my daughter Amanda and her BFF Anfernee! We also surprised my daughter Jazzy and stopped by to have lunch with her at school. Today was all about family time. My step-daughter also needed some help, so we went ahead and picked up my step-grandson and spent the day with him. =) He is so cute!!!!

For lunch I really wanted some soup. I had chicken breast in broth with avocado slices, homemade corn tortillas and some unsweet tea with lemon. It was very good! =)

So far, family time and great food!!!!  Now for Inspired to Walk Program! I had my great friends Crystal Vargas of West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and Stephanie Chavez of Kick Start CPR join me for some fun walking and exercise!!! We made the best of it and had so much fun. I am involved with a lot of health, fitness and wellness in the communities of San Antonio and the Inspired to Walk Program is simply getting others “Inspired to Walk”  We did 2.66 miles at the lovely King William River Train in San Antonio.  We plan on doing this every Wednesday around 4:30pm. You can contact me for more information.

Dinner: Lean steak, sweet potato, salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, cranberries, with light dressing and avocado slices. Diet Green Tea =)

Day 4: Very Productive Day!!

Today was a super Blessed day! I started off my morning getting my beautiful daughter ready for school, rested for a bit and then headed off to our Radio Show Sponsor, Sergio’s Salon and Spa, for my hair appointment. I thank one of my Co-Hosts, Stephanie Mion for introducing Kimberly, who is now our Hair Stylist, to our Team. She is truly blessed when it comes to getting your hair done. =)

Today was the taping of Inspiration 4 Life Segment on Great Day SA Sunday’s on KENS 5 TV. It is a true Honor to have our Local Heroes of Inspiration Segment highlighted on Great Day SA Sunday’s. I was able to bring on an Inspiring Guest to be part of our Segment. Her name is Jessica Cummings. The interview was a weight loss success story. This is where I will tell you to tune in this Sunday January 8, 2012 on KENS 5 TV at 6am to catch the interview. This is for those who live in San Antonio. For those who are following this blog and are not from San Antonio and want to be inspired by our Local Hero of Inspiration Guests, you can go to www.inspiration4life.org and watch our interviews on there. These stories will change your life.

Well, after the taping of the show, my Husband, Jessica and I went to Royal Inn Restaurant and celebrated. This Chinese Restaurant doesn’t have any MSG’s in their food. =) I had chicken, shrimp and vegetable medly with some steamed rice, hot & sour soup and  water to drink. It was kind of crazy because I was very hungry and got my appetite back. The portions are great, so I was able to finish my meal.

From there, I had another amazing journey to go to and will find out soon if Grants are approved for me to be the Personal Trainer for a Non Profit in San Antonio. I will get you more details on this once all things are final. =)

Our family fitness consisted going to the King William River Trail. I was with Teen Ambassador Amanda Cantu and Child Ambassador Jasmine Hernandez, who are both my daughters and great examples to teens and children! We did a two mile walk and had great conversations!

My dinner consisted of baked chicken, veggies, slice of avocado and water. It is great to be able to sit with my Husband and girls as a family when we have our dinners. Yup, we all have to put our phones away, so we can make time for each other. =)

I pray I will continue to Inspire you to do all that your heart desires and accomplish your dreams and goals! Talk to you soon!

Day 3: Back on Track!

Day 3 of my 2012 Health, Fitness, Wellness and all aspects of Life Journey going well! I had to get up this morning at 5am to drop off my Husband at work and I was still a bit under the weather. As soon as I came home, I rested for a bit, but had to get back up to take my daughter to school. Once I returned home from dropping her off, I took some medication and rested for a few more hours, just to make sure I would be o.k. to go to my meetings and train my clients.

I decided to give myself another day of body rest before I do any kind of Fitness Training for myself. Although, I did make time to go for a walk at my favorite place in San Antonio, the King William River Trail.

I was very excited to get back to work and Trained my client Stephanie Carrillo today! She did amazing. I am also excited to be highlighting her progress as well. Today was her 1st day of training for 2012.

For Lunch today I had turkey slices, slice of avocado, salad with veggies and water.  For my snack, I had 12 almonds, protein shake and a few whole wheat crackers to ease my stomach. For dinner I had some salmon, grilled veggies, slice of avocado and water.

I actually finally felt hungry today versus this past week that I was not feeling well. This is a very good sign. I am now also looking to see what supplements I will start taking as well. =) Hmmm, I wonder. =)

Well, it feels good to be back on track and I will be back tomorrow and tell you how my day goes! Talk to you soon and be blessed!

Day 2: Recovery time from Migraine

Wow! I have pretty much spent my whole day recovering from a Major Migraine that hit me around 8pm on January 1st, 2012. I haven’t had a migraine this bad in a very long time. Yup, pretty much on the floor crying in pain, couldn’t see out of my right eye, extremely sick to my stomach, couldn’t stand the light on, head felt like it wanted to explode, but since I have experienced these migraines before, I knew I would soon be o.k. The only thing I don’t like about these migraines is being sick the entire duration of the migraine and I become very dehydrated and weak. I spent my whole day today pretty much recovering, moving very slowly, trying to gain my strength back and trying to figure out what to eat, since my stomach was still not strong enough to hold anything down. Not fun at all.

I could’t figure out what triggered it because I didn’t have any of the bad foods that I have cut out of my life because of the migraines. I tell you, it hit me so fast last night, my family thought I was crazy but then soon realized something was wrong. My husband said, “wow, you haven’t had one that bad since I had to pick you up on the floor, when you worked at Santa Rosa”  My family was great! They helped me out, made warm packs to cover over my eyes, since I didn’t want any ice. My daughters prayed for me, held me and just let me rest.

Exercise and food was the last thing on my mind today since I was still recovering. I stayed hydrated with water all day, had some sugar free jello, chicken soup and some wheat crackers to help with my nausea. So, I encourage you, if you get sick make sure you get your rest. If it is cold outside, try to bundle up so you won’t end up getting a fever and do not eat anything heavy that will make you worse. It is important to stay hydrated, so drink plenty of water, but if you are too weak to do anything, please go to the Doctor.

Day 1: Happy New Year and many Blessings for 2012 to All! It time to Get Inspired! Be Inspired! Stay Inspired!

This scripture is a beautiful way to start the 1st day of 2012! Never let anything stop you from getting to where you need to be! I encourage you to tell the Lord exactly what you are wanting for 2012 and Claim it! You will be victorious in whatever the Lord has called you to do. “If you have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove Youself and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible for You” I pray everyone will have a Blessed 2012 and Happy New Year to All!

Today also marks my 1st day of my Health, Fitness, Wellness and All Aspects of Life Journey for 2012. I will be Inspired to carry out my Mission, Vision, Purpose and all that I am called to do. As you can see, this blog has been around since 2010, has collected some dust and now I am bringing back to life! I have been through the best times of my life, the worst times of my life, the wierdest times of my life, the toughest times of my life, but best of all, the most inspired times of my life. It has been through Inspiration of my Faith, continued prayers, spending time in prayer, my husband, my daughters, family and inspirational friends.

I encourage you to go through my blog and check out my past journey from the KSAT 12 Fit for Life Challenge. It has changed my life. You can also see all of the great things Inspiration 4 Life has done. As you can see, Inspiration 4 Life has grown and taking new heights for 2012 as well.
